Nancy K. StringerA native Almanian, Nancy began pencil sketching in her mid-teen years and studied Art at Alma College, declaring Fine Art as the first of a double major. In college, she developed an interest in oil painting, under the instruction of Kent Kirby, and doodled a lot in graphic design (with felt tip markers), which led to painting some of her designs on canvass. Other artistic areas of interest for Nancy have been sketching animals in pen and ink and photography, mostly florals. She likes to experiment with mixed media and has painted wall murals using paint and pastelles. A former Guild member, in the early years of the Guild, she was Guild Secretary during several of those years. She rejoined the Guild in 2012.
