Kathleen SandowKate Sandow is an abstract design artist who primarily works with watercolor and enjoys bold colors and lines. Kate is very comfortable with abstract art and can express feeling and mood with each of her creations.
Kate worked in a world that needed concrete details and exact objectives, but within her painting she has been able to relax in the hypothetical and abstruse creations. She has helped many to step out of their comfort zone and let the paint- paint- the picture. Kate is now retired as a school psychologist and in the past worked in many local school districts. Kate has been a member of the Creative Arts Guild (CAG) of Mid-Michigan since 2007. She serves as the Guild Co-President and Secretary. She has participated in many shows and programs as a member of (CAG). Kate is a member of the Pine River Arts Council (PRAC) and for several years has served as Vice President. Kate has been an assistant to various teachers who have scheduled classes at the Alma Community Art Center (ACAC). Last year and this year at ACAC, she is a co-teacher for a class geared towards 5 to 7 year-olds. Kate attended workshops with renowned artists such as: Kathleen Conover, Sterling Edwards, Helga Flower, Rod Lawrence, Vianna Szabo and Tom Tomasek. mailto:[email protected] |
