Kathleen LitwillerI have always loved art and have been inspired by the color that is all around us. My major artistic influence was my mother. I was surrounded by her paintings when growing up. She always was painting, learning, attending workshops, and art club meetings.
I am always striving to improve my painting by taking workshops and studying with nationally and internationally known artists. I love to learn whether it is mixed media, acrylic, abstracts, oil, watercolor, or plein air, but I have fallen for pastels. I mainly paint landscapes but now I am interested in looking for diverse subjects that include movement, light, and patterns. I have been a member of the Creative Arts Guild of Mid-Michigan for several years, and I current serve as the Guild Co-President and special project volunteer. Previously I have served as the secretary. I also serve as the workshop coordinator for the Alma Community Art Center's Professional Artist Series. These workshops bring nationally and internationally recognized artists to the Alma area so that others have the opportunity to learn and experience art. Contact at: [email protected] |
