Julie Fortino
I started oil painting around the age of twelve. A close family friend and artist, Ellen, working mainly with oils, agreed to take me under her wing. I still have the wooden art box that I used for toting my supplies to her house each week. I continued oil painting on and off throughout the years, time allowing between working and raising children. I also enjoy watercolor, sketching, and pastels focusing on landscape and still life. I am a past member of the Great Lakes Plein Air Painters Association, painting on location all over Michigan. I love the outdoors and plein air painting gives me the opportunity to slow down and really see the world around me. Contact at: [email protected] |
