Diane CliseDiane Clise began oil painting about 20 years ago; something she had always wanted to try. Oil painting led to watercolor painting, which led to teaching watercolors to children and adults. Photography and the love of it became a medium to frame memories. Besides teaching, and displaying her work in local galleries, Diane has had exhibitions and shows in the Chicago area and greater Michigan. She was the Artist-in-Residence in Glen Arbor, Michigan, in October 2011, and some of her artwork has been published in “Fine Art of the Great Lakes” by Phyllis A.H. Dobson. Diane has been a member of the Creative Arts Guild of Mid-Michigan for over 18 years and has been serving as its President for the past 6 years, and is the Exhibition Chairperson since the fall of 2014. She is currently the Vice President of the Pine River Arts Council, and also has been deeply involved in the Alma Community Art Center since its inception in the summer of 2011, now serves as its President of the Board of Directors.
