Cindy Kirby

Cindy began her pottery journey in 2021, taking local classes at the community art center. Under the guidance of experienced professional potter Diane Zakala, Cindy continues to refine her skills and grow as an artist while volunteering at the community art center. She now primarily works out of her own studio, where she focuses on mastering wheel-thrown pottery and hand-built functional ware.

Cindy finds joy in the creative process, from shaping the clay to experimenting with various glaze combinations to achieve unique and beautiful effects. At times, she draws inspiration from the environment around her, incorporating small pieces of the earth—such as leaves, flowers, and sea shells—into her work, adding a natural and personal touch to each piece. 

Outside of her pottery work, Cindy enjoys spending time with her family and dog; walking, hiking, and spending time by the water, finding both inspiration and relaxation in the natural world.

Her passion for ceramics has led her to showcase her work at a variety of art and craft shows, sharing her love for the art with the community. Cindy’s dedication to her craft reflects her belief in the power of creativity and the joy of bringing beauty to life.
